• The Dr. Gail Weingast Story

  • Following medical school, which she completed at the Boston University School of Medicine in 1976, Dr. Gail Weingast went on to complete a pediatrics internship, a residency in pediatrics, a radiology residency, and a fellowship in the field of ultrasound, all by 1983 at Colorado General Hospital in Denver. However, Dr. Gail Weingast then went on to complete her post-graduate studies as a radiologist at St. Anthony’s Hospital, also in Denver, between 1983 and 1984.

    Soon after she finished her educational work, Dr. Gail Weingast went on to work at several other hospitals in Colorado and New York, until she settled into her current position as a highly regarded radiology specialist at William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, Connecticut, where she is the Chief of Ultrasound and Breast Imaging. She has been there for more than 20 years and she has been able to guide her department into its current position as a premiere medical facility with her more than four decades of knowledge and experience.These days, Dr. Gail Weingast values every aspect of her educational and career journey because it has all contributed to make her the doctor she is today.
